This book is somewhat long, but still is able to be read in one sitting. I think the pictures in the story do a great job of helping to tell the story.
pickGenre: Historical Fiction
I like how this book uses different figures of speech such as similes to make the story “come to life”. For each page, there is a picture that goes along with the story being told, which helps the reader visualize more of what is going on.
pickThis was a really cute read with wonderful illustrations about a little girl who wants to help her family through hard times by fishing for catfish. I really enjoyed it and my even buy it for my nephews!
