I've read this author before and liked his books well enough, but I just couldn't get into this one. Bailed at 350 out of 2100 or so pages. Too many stupid moves by characters and a protagonist who was a nice guy but boring, and a little bit of a sucker. Didn't have much interest to hang around to see if he evolved at all.
Enjoyed the pacing of this one. Kind of shocked by Michael's naivety regarding what the NSA and intelligence agencies are capable of, but other than that another good read from Joseph Finder. I enjoyed the ending as well. It had a finesse I appreciated.
I need something pretend. Been on phone calls all day about #HurricaneIrma. I live on the Georgia/Florida state line and I work in both states. I have staff all in the Panhandle and working on evacuations preparations for them. Already in Southern Georgia we have no gas, no water in stores and no hotel rooms. Irma needs to make a turn stat. #prayforflorida
I have read/listened to many of Joseph Finders books. This one provided more then 8 hours of listening. Sadly it didn't stick with me and I am struggling to remember the story line. Since I finished it about a week ago this could be do more to my faulty memory then content or style however a truly inspired story does, and has, stuck around for years. Still giving a thumbs up because as I said it made the drudgery of commuting better.
