What my Middle is into right now. Pretty cool twists, fast reads, and no fluffy princesses in here. Far Out Fairy Tales

LibrarianRyan I love this series. I wish they would do more. 7y
MrsGreen @LibrarianRyan Yes, we have the last one coming from another library already 7y

Pickpick

Trades out glass slippers for a glass katana sword and romance for physical bravery and quick thinking...

Foragingfantasy Would this be appropriate for a 10 year old? 8y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Foragingfantasy, I think so. In a lot of ways, it's a nicer story than the original. It's quite short tho - if you are considering buying - this is a 5 in 1 (including Ninjarella) version (it's on my shortlist of books to read from the library) 8y
Foragingfantasy @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I was just looking at the 5 in 1 on Amazon! I have a niece who hates to read and doesn't really like the typical princess stories. I'm always trying to find something that might snag her attention and bring her over to the book side. I don't think she is encouraged to read at home. 8y
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @Foragingfantasy, fractured fairytales are great :) that's a shame, hope she finds something that changes her mind... 8y
