Quick overview of Zora Neale Hurston‘s life story. It certainly isn‘t in depth but gives a quick overview of her life in graphic form.

I like the idea more than the execution. I learned some interesting tidbits about Zora Neale Hurston, but what this book did was make me want to read an actual autobiography about her (which I will now plan to do). The storytelling was choppy, jumping from one time in Hurston's life to another without context or connection.
I added Florida and Vermont to my #ReadingUSA2019 in April.
This was great.

Today‘s #libraryhaul of #poetry and #graphicnovels. Not that I needed more library books right now! 😂
I loved this! Each 1-2 pages is a significant detail of Zora Neale Hurston‘s life. It‘s fascinating, funny and sad all at the same time. The author clearly loves his subject matter (he‘s also done a book on Margaret Sanger) and takes a few liberties, which he justifies. I highly recommend!
This cover is so frickin‘ awesome! Diving in before bed tonight.
A very informative graphic novel. Zora Neale Hurston lead a truest fascinating life. My favorite part was when she met some zombies.
I know just what she means... #betterthaneffbombs #zora #dontinsulttheanimals
I bought way too many things at Free Comic Book Day, but this book about Zora Neale Hurston might be what I'm most excited about
Before I read this book the only thing I knew about ZNH was that she wrote Their Eyes Were Watching God and that she died destitute in Ft. Pierce (I had seen her house when I went there on vacation a few years back). This book gave me insights as to her colorful, controversial life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
