I wanted to like this book more than I did. Having really enjoyed watching The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel I had high expectations. I enjoyed the book but not as much as the movie. I love the premise of the book and it was full of beautifully flawed characters but I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted with most of them.

Quirky story filled with charming characters read by the perfect narrator 👌 this gets 5 ⭐️ from me

It's the #visitors yo this hotel that make the story. Plus it would be a great audiobook to listen to while you prepare for visitors.

This was a departure from my usual fare. I was enticed off my usual path by a good review and the fact that I really loved the movies made of her other books. I'm so glad I read it. It is a well done picture of aging and relationships and what kind of families those of us who find ourselves aging and alone put together for ourselves. Also, this is what happens when I finish a book. I tell Lucy about it and she decides it's time for me to pet her.

They turned out great!! Yay pancakes! This will be my new go to recipe. It has flax seeds, chia seeds, rolled oats, and whole wheat flour amongst the other usual pancake ingredients. Yum! And I feel better about eating them bc they have some nutritional value. Win win. 😉

A charming, witty, slightly quirky tale of a thrice divorced retired actor and his attempt to run a B&B. There are lots of characters and my head was swimming with them at first, but if you just let that wash over you it all ties itself together in an endearing happily ever after kind of way. This is fun fiction at its best.

I had an hour drive this afternoon, just wanted to keep going so I could keep listening. Love the quirky characters.

I was happy to see this in the recent acquisitions section of my #library. I saw a recent review that said it was good. So, here we go!

Latest audiobook, so far so good.
