From the New York Times bestselling author of the Loving on the Edge series and Off the Clock, a story of sex, love, rock & roll, and a reporter whos about to learn a new meaning for staying on top of her assignment... Restaurant critic Aubrey Bordelon is never at a loss for words to describe her meals in the fancy restaurants of New Orleans. But after her magazines high-profile music reporter falls ill, she finds herself out of her element and in a sea of screaming fans awaiting Wanderlusts lead singer, Lex Logan. The sound of his voice gives her goosebumps, and the stage presence of the hard-bodied rock star takes her breath away. So when he pulls her onstage for a sexy stunt, she knows shes in real trouble. Lex doesnt want to pretend that the sparks on stage between him and Aubrey never happened, but it certainly makes the fact that shes writing a story on his band all the more dangerous. The last thing he needs is some nosy reporter revealing their problems to the world. But the sexy Southern belle doesnt give up easily, and soon hes wondering if the best way to chase her off the story is to coax her into his bed Praise for New York Times bestselling author Roni Loren An angsty backstory made beautiful by a hero who doesnt know how perfect he is.Carly Phillips, New York Times bestselling author Hot and romantic, with an edge of suspense.Shayla Black, New York Times bestselling author Revved up and red-hot sexy.Lorelei James, New York Times bestselling author Delicious, dark, sensual prose.USA Today Includes a preview of the next Loving on the Edge novel, Loving You Easy!

I realized last night that the last two books I finished were both by authors with the first name Ronnie/Roni. That‘s unusual, right?

Mehso-so

My mood has me on the search for my next favorite romantic contemporary. I loved Roni Loren‘s novella Nice Girls Don‘t Ride so I borrowed this stand-alone about a journalist and a rock star. It was good not great. The pacing was off for me. They never got quite enough time together for me to believe their feelings. That said, it made for an enjoyable Sunday read. But I‘m still on the hunt... #romantsy

Bostonmomx2 Have you read the Lucky Harbor series by Jill Shalvis? I really liked those. 7y
CoffeeK8 I think you‘ve read Penny Reid, which is my usual go to, have you read Mariana Zapata? 7y

Chachic I think you've read my go-to contemporary romance authors: Lucy Parker, Laura Florand and Julie James. Oh I just remembered I really enjoyed 7y
Chachic There are so many others on my TBR pile that I need to read like Hate to Want You by Alisha Rai, Acting on Impulse by Mia Sosa, Practice Perfect by Ruby Lang, Deliver Me by Farrah Rochon, Bad for the Boss by Talia Hibbert and lots of romanceclass titles. 7y
dylanisreading I'm on the hunt for my next favorite contemporary, too. 7y
MarriedtoMrT @CoffeeK8 I‘ve wanted to but her books are so long! I did read and enjoy the following so I definitely need to try another. I eye Wall all the time! 7y
MarriedtoMrT @CoffeeK8 Turns out I own Wall! 😂🙃 And her biker book 7y
MarriedtoMrT @Bostonmomx2 I really liked the first Lucky Harbor. Jill Shalvis used to be one of my go-to authors. I should really revisit her! 7y
MarriedtoMrT @Chachic I‘ve still never got around to Julie James! I‘ve borrowed many of her titles but am having trouble finding the one to hook me. I just borrowed Hot and I‘m going to try it next! Thank you! 7y
MarriedtoMrT @Bianca It‘s rough out there. There are a lot of good books but it‘s hard to come by the spectacular ones. I need some new life in my re-read rotation. 7y
CoffeeK8 @MarriedtoMrT they totally are, you have to be in the mood for sure. I have 2 more suggestions, if you like angsty Natasha Anders, or Anna Richland, most of hers are UF but I loved 7y
CoffeeK8 @MarriedtoMrT I haven‘t actually read her biker one, I can‘t get into bikers for some reason, but that‘s amazing! 7y
MarriedtoMrT @CoffeeK8 Do you have a Natasha Anders reco? I read Wingman but was just so-so on it. I liked her writing enough to try another. Also, I own His Road Home, too, but haven‘t read it yet. I have a horrible one-click problem! 7y
CoffeeK8 @MarriedtoMrT I like her first one I think you can get a good feel for if you‘ll like it from the sample. I also have a one-click problem. Do you have any good recos? 7y
Bostonmomx2 @MarriedtoMrT contemp romance isn‘t a big genre for me but I really liked that series a lot. Also, Robyn Carr‘s Virgin River series is great. Really, really great! 7y
Chachic @MarriedtoMrT What's Hot, sorry? Not sure which title is that. The Julie James I liked the most was 7y
Chachic I forgot to mention that I also have A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole in my TBR pile! 7y
Chachic Will let you know if I come across any good ones (although I also post about them here on Litsy). I just haven't been in the mood for contemporary romance lately. 7y
MarriedtoMrT @Chachic Sorry! I was being a lazy typist. Hot in Hellcat Canyon. Thanks for the Julie James title. I‘m looking into that one. 7y

I may never leave this spot. Gipper has been sitting on me purring for going on 30 minutes now. Non. Stop. Purrs. Adopting this older dude in November was a top ten decision of my life.

My husband brought me a beer and I‘ve started the tagged book so I‘m set for my current occupation as pet furniture!
