Chack‘s ability to take everyday events and turn them into interesting, entertaining, and often hilarious moments makes this book beyond enjoyable. Not only have I️ started following her on Twitter but I‘m now a devoted BuzzFeed fan of hers.

Erin Chack gave me exactly what I wanted: comradery and laughter. There aren't a lot of nonfiction books out there about being diagnosed with a serious illness as a young adult. Her thoughts on death as well as the process of trying to live one's life while working around doctor appts--I could totally understand it. Chack's writing style was natural and funny but tempered by situation. This is just an all-around great read!
This is really entertaining. Definitely enjoying it so far.
I don't know why I thought I might not love this book, but I was wrong! I loved it! I laughed a lot and maybe cried more. A great quick read and reminder about what's important in a life.
Picked this up for some personal essay writing inspiration...insomnia binge read finished it feeling like I was hanging out with a friend of a friend.
Here's my kinda' late wrap-up for May! Like I said, way behind on the reviews. Tomorrow's Saturday; maybe I'll catch up! 🙄😆
"The Flaw in Our Balls of Gas" ? This is so true about realistic illness!
Starting this ARC a little later than I meant to--really interesting so far!
Flew through this book of essays by a twenty-something Buzzfeed writer. Some were really funny, even she was dealing with serious issues like her own cancer treatment.
Sort of a millennial Jen Lancaster. As with biographical essays it's hard to be like this sucked, but there were some parts that are more accessible and readable than others.
