pickI enjoyed this book! Which is hard to do considering the subject matter: hospice nurse treating a curmudgeon professor while at the same time dealing with her three tour Iraqi vet PTSD husband. The third plot line, which I almost skipped reading but am so glad I didn't, is about a Japanese pilot that bombs Oregon during WWII. Who knew?! It all comes together nicely in the end. Try this new author. His other book "The Curiosity" is good too!
Having some serious wanderlust with this cover! Do books ever inspire you to travel?
pickThis book appealed to the nurse in me + also the part of me that loves history, as it taught me a part of WWII history that I knew nothing about. I was so impressed by how well developed each character was + I was totally invested in their individual stories, especially the post-deployment PTSD.

I didn't get any reading done yesterday after we brought this home. Based on all the cuddles since then she may turn out to be as a great a reading buddy as the other two.
