I‘ve only read the intro, but I‘m already enamored of this book! An American history that explores the relationship between trees and the founding of our country. #conservation

SamAnne Hmmm...will definitely have to check this out. My college thesis dealt with forests, conservation in Early America. Stacked! 2y
JenniferP @SamAnne I‘d love to hear what you think. I‘ve only read a little bit but it‘s very engaging so far. 2y

The executive director where I work handed me this book. I'm currently heading a deer exclosure project, where we fence in a portion of the forest to keep deer out. Without natural predators, deer are eating too much, and negatively impacting the ecosystem of the forest. I think this book will give an incentive to protect our forests. And not just from deer. #nature
