Slower start but beautifully written that drew me in and got me thinking about the who not the why in my life.
Note: Christian Fiction
One life spared. Twenty two are lost.
A year later, survivor Autumn Manning can't remember the day of the bombing and she is tormented by grief - her guilt... searching for answers, she haunts the lives of the victims, unable to rest.
I went into this subconsciously demanding a moving tale about life as the sole survivor of a terrorist attack. Somewhere along the way, the romance storyline cliches got disruptive. Being on the Kiss Cam at a baseball game and, uh oh, what do we do because we aren't "together, together" was the straw that broke the camels back for me. Ganshert isn't a terrible writer. But it wasn't deep, believable, heartfelt or romantic. #bloggingforbooks
