A brand-new Star Wars: The Old Republic novel from bestselling Star Wars author Drew Karpyshyn. As well as exploring what happened to Revan after Knights of the Old Republic, in this novel readers will learn who the Sith Emperor is in the time of the Old Republic, where he came from and how he has held onto power for so long... There's something out there. A juggernaut of evil bearing down to crush the Republic - unless one lone Jedi, shunned and reviled, can stop it. Revan: hero, traitor, conqueror, villain, savior. A Jedi who left Coruscant to defeat Mandalorians—and returned a disciple of the dark side, bent on destroying the Republic. The Jedi Council gave Revan his life back, but the price of redemption was high. His memories have been erased. All that's left are nightmares—and deep, abiding fear. What exactly happened beyond the Outer Rim? Revan can't quite remember, yet can't entirely forget. Somehow he stumbled across a terrible secret that threatens the very existence of the Republic. With no idea what it is, or how to stop it, Revan may very well fail, for he's never faced a more powerful and diabolic enemy. But only death can stop him from trying...

Unabridged Audiobook (8/10):
This novel served as my first true dive into the Old Republic era of Star Wars storytelling, and it doesn‘t disappoint!

This story gives incredible insight into some of the earliest days of the Jedi Order and the Republic, all the while showcasing how blind they both can be in regards to the Sith Empire. I love the way the Force is depicted throughout, both the Light Side, and the Dark.

As a story it was pretty good, nothing fantastic, but it kept my interest and did its job of entertaining me. That being said I was incredibly disappointed with the story. I've heard people go on and on about Revan and Bastila's story, so when I picked this book up I expected a continuation of this amazing story. What I got was a decent story filled with bitter sweet moments. I liked the characters I just didn't like what happened with them.

Overall the pacing was a little off and I wish that things could have been done different but I‘ve got to say that this was a fascinating read!! It made me want to learn more about Bastila and Reven and, even though it‘s not technically canon anymore, I think it‘s clear that the ST was heavily influenced by their story!
