22 #14 I read the first in this series last year and forgot about it. I don‘t know why. Pam Jenoff is one of my faves.
Amy, my sweet friend! You always spoil me!! I really need this lotion! My hands are awfully dry!! The gingerbread man chapstick I LOVE!!! I LOVE the vase!!! Can‘t wait to put all of my purple pens in it! The books look awesome!! Tell your daughter thanks for the recommendation!! I think I have all of the books in the Jenoff series now! I‘ll check! Thank you for everything and for your friendship all of these years! Love you ❤️

Very excited to start this book today!
Well Pam, you did again. Couldn't put it down at the end. Thought I wasn't going to like this one and then out of left field, bam! Got some resolution I needed from earlier books. But there are still some windows open. I hope she revisits some of the other characters.
Ok, so this is the second book in the series( see previous post). This book followed one of the characters from the previous story. Let me just say again, the premise was interesting, but she stretched my believing the scenes written could have actually occurred. Too much of a flight of imagination to think the story played out in the way it was written. But I have to say both books were readable, I gave 3 stars(2 1/2)
Liked it overall. I mean, I figured it out early, and the writing was okay, but it was quick-paced and I liked the historical time frame. This is book 2 in a series and I never read book 1 and it was fine. 3.5-4 stars / 5
@Librarybelle is doing a giveaway for hitting 50k litfluence! Crazy town. And to think... I just found you! I'd like to read another book with the word "wife" in the title. ? #50k1k ... thank you for the opportunity!
Really enjoyed this follow-up to The Kommandant‘s Girl, and this helped explain some of the events from the first book as well as seeing some of those events from a different perspective. There may have been one or two elements that seemed a bit too coincidental but this didn‘t take away from an enjoyable read. Do make sure you read the Kommandant‘s Girl first and don‘t leave it as long between books as I did (didn‘t realise they followed on).
Just started to listen to The Diplomat‘s Wife. This will be my second book by Pam Jenoff, having previously loved The Kommandant‘s Girl.
Male-possessive titles are one of the book trends of the last few years that I find the most obnoxious. 😕 #behindthescenesatbookmans
I feel weird saying I like to read #BooksAboutWar but then again I think it's really important to read about things like the US Civil War, WWII, WWI - we need to pay attention to history and learn from it. #MarchMadness
