I‘m so glad that I‘ve finally finished the Hand of Thrawn duology with this incredible finale. Timothy Zahn is truly one of the greatest writers I‘ve had the pleasure of reading (or listening to).
The many different plot lines made things a bit hard to follow at times, but each wrapped up nicely and the conclusion left me more than satisfied, particularly how Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade were left together.
A brilliant production all around!
I enjoyed this more than Specter of the Past, but it‘s far from my favorite Star Wars book. I listened on audio, which is always great, though some of the alien voices drove me nuts. i did at least get the Luke and Mara action I was there for and some of my questions got answered. Also loving seeing Leia‘s growing strength in the force. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
Vision of the Future is the sequel to Specter of the Past. Zahn portrays Luke and Mara's romance against the backdrop of Thrawn's machinations from beyond the grave.
1. Vision of the Future would be the last review that I would have given 5 stars.
2. None- If it were that bad then I would have stopped reading it.
3. “I was Framed” ( I manage a frameshop)

This took longer to read than expected but that had more to do with life than the writing. I enjoyed this. He still does a great job with the characters. I loved Pellaeon in this and Shada. Karrde was also great. I will say romance doesn‘t seem to be Zahn‘s thing. The new romance in the book felt very stiff but Han and Leia‘s established relationship was well done.
