Before reading this, I didn't realize I needed queer Viking epic fantasy in my life. This was unexpectedly sweet and touching, and Aydis is a badass. Looking forward to volume two.

I‘ve had this on my tbr for quite a while, and I kept putting off reading it because I had a feeling I‘d immediately want more and I‘m fairly certain the wait is going to be long... and I was right. This story just grabs you and what a ride it is! I love the art, I love the characters we meet along the way, I can‘t wait to see where this goes next!

Even though I‘ve got book club tonight - what I‘m really looking forward to at the end of the evening is coming home and starting this graphic novel I‘ve heard such great things about! A case of #blamelitsy for sure! 😄📚👍

4⭐️ The God Odin has imprisoned Brynhid in Fire. She can only be released when a true mortal warrior can pass through the fire. Once free she is cursed to marry her hero. Only this time her hero is a woman. The woman Aydis was cast from her home for the sin of kissing another woman. She wants all women and men to be free to love and marry whomever they wish. The artwork is amazing and different from what is normally seen in graphic novels.

Oh. My. God.
This was AMAZING! I can't believe how good it was. I downloaded it on #netgalley mostly for the cover, I never imagined it would affect me so deeply. But it did.
It was beautifully written and beautifully drawn. And I don't even know what I'll do till vol. 2.

This graphic novel was beautifully drawn and written and had such an incredible story and set of characters. It comes out on July 19 on kindle, and Aug 8 on paperback!
