On the last few pages of this slightly creepy novel in a completely empty park.

Finally able to relax and read on this beautiful Sunday with a new read!
I finished the tagged book on a somewhat gratuitous but sorely needed solo audiowalk. Although the premise---a vacation rental that goes creepily awry---is perhaps not the wisest choice a day before I check into a short-term rental, it was an enjoyable listen. It's also my June #bookspin selection.
This book was hands down my favorite read of 2021. I couldn‘t put it down and snuck it a few minutes here and there reading in my office at work. Loved. This. Book.
Loved this book, read it in 3 days because I couldn‘t put it down. The author does an amazing job at breezing through the parts that would have made it boring and the speed helps the story move along to create an interesting and captivating read. The book is written from the husbands point of view and the wife‘s every other chapter. Spooky, smart, original. Did not expect the ending.
#MusicalNewYear #day5 #RingOfKeys Not exactly a whole ring of keys, but it‘s the closest I could find in this hoarders closet/library.This was a #blameitonlitsy buy a year ago that I haven‘t gotten around to reading,I should fix that.A couple are left terrorized after a home invasion & decide to holiday house swap to Paris. But the apartment is not what they were promised & unable to contact the owners, return home. But something is not quite right.
SO CREEPY WHY DID I READ THIS RIGHT BEFORE MIDNIGHT
So I can't say it's the best horror genre book I've read, definitely wish it would have explained a bit more of what we were supposed to be so afraid of, that was never really elaborated upon. However, there was some interesting character development and it definitely held my attention for the most part. Not my favorite, a bit disappointed, but not a bad read overall
Have you ever read a book where a pretty great lady is hitched to a criminally underwhelming man? I feel like this is a theme that comes up all of the time.
Fall is in the air and I am impatient for All Hallows' Read. Getting a kickstart on my spooky reading season with one that has been unread on my shelf for ages, whispering nasty nothings in the night.
Just picked this up yesterday and started it as I cozied into bed. Excited to get into some more horror 👻
On this dark and stormy night...crawling into bed to work on finishing up this creepy book. I'm liking the atmosphere quite a lot. And the weather outside is adding greatly to that. We've got thunder, lightning, and wind that was howling around the corners of the house. Perfect.
The premise for this was interesting enough, but it never quite hooked me and by the end I was just counting down the minutes to the end of the audio book. I stuck it out for 9+ hours because the pacing kept me thinking that something big was right around the corner. I can't help but think that the book would have benefitted from a shorter, tighter narrative. Perhaps it reads better in print than on audio?
Reading a book from today's library hall, watching the rugby and drinking a beer. Happy Saturday!
I bought my husband a new watch, so he bought me a new #book. Fair trade. 😁

Just finished this one. The entire book wasn't really scary but the ending, the final page, gave me chills! Yikes!
Cripessss! I was going to go to sleep but I can't stop reading this! @Trina_L I've had like 3 now and can't stop reading. I've read 723 pages in two days!! My legs hurt lmao! Cheers!🍷📖📚❤️
I walked 5.5 miles today with 6 hardback books on my back up hill to get to the library. It was exercise that made my legs numb lol! So I'm having a glass of wine , reading and going to 😴😴😴😴
New socks and new book to read 😊📖📚👏❤️

#TBRtemptation post! A highly rated paranormal horror thriller for the cold, dark wintry hours that Like ahead. Basically, it's about a married couple's house swap from hell ?, from Cape Town (after their house is invaded) to an artsy couple's Paris apartment. Their perfect holiday turns deadly, and Mark's past ruptures his bond with Steph. Taut and dark and suspenseful. My cup of café au lait. *Vincent Price cackle* #blameLitsy #blameMrBook ?
I'm wanting to enjoy this book, and I think it could be good, but after checking the litsy reviews, I'm bailing on this one
I finished! Felt like it took me forever :/ This book was just not my thing.
Who can read when the Green Bay Packers are in the playoffs! Just kidding .... I read on the timeouts! GoPackGo
It was eerie and all but it was lacking. I feel as if the climax and information came way late. Making the end feel forced. I wanted more details maybe some minor explanations. Just fell flat for me very lax and jumbled in its conclusions. #meh #muchlove #notbadnotgreat
currently reading "The Apartment" its alright so far.
tho I can say I did read "Amity" and it was awful.

It's a good thing to read late October if you want to get a little spooked. It shouldn't scare you in any way, but I does get a little weird. The ending was a bit meh. Although the book could have given a little more, I did enjoy most of it, and it's the perfect horror for people who don't want to actually get scared.
