Today is Willows 4th Birthday. She is without a doubt the best reading companion as she never complains about me telling her the plot of my books. Happy birthday Willow 🐶❤️🎉

7 months ago, on a rainy night, 16 year old Willow's parents drank too much wine and asked her to drive them home. They never made it - Willow lost control of the car and her parents died in the accident. Now she has left behind her old home, friends, and school, and blocks the pain. "Willow" is an unforgettable novel about one girl's struggle to cope with tragedy, and one boy's refusal to give up on her.
Enjoyed this as a teen who was also depressed and cutting herself. Perhaps that's why it had such an impact on me when I was so young. Not sure what I'd rate it now, but I'll just stick with my original review.

There's so much that was horrible about this book I wouldn't be able to fit a comprehensive list on this post....
The story is weak and poorly executed, it's much more preachy than realistic, the characters are pretentious and annoying, etc etc etc.
I hate giving bad reviews for books that deal with this kind of subject because I'm sure somebody sees themselves in and is helped by this story but it's just so bad....

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5/5 was inspiring in my darkest days of depression and self-harming, I didn't feel alone. Cried while reading it ❤️
Willow is strong👊
