Haul from Dollar General. They had a few books I wanted but I only got two.

I have been to Alaska. I love it up there. My boyfriend and I plan to move there eventually. This book didn‘t do it justice, and I didn‘t even have a good time reading it. The characters were annoying, and while I‘m all for a cheesy romance, both of the stories were very creepy and I absolutely would‘ve pepper sprayed at least one person in both towns. And also pressed charges.

I didn't like this one that being said I finished it I didn't DNF it but it was only a 2 out of 5 that being said I don't read many short stories
Cute romances set in a very cold place.
I always find Debbie Macombers books entertaining and perfect for Christmas.
This was a lovely, Christmas-inspired impulse buy. It‘s a feel-good, easy-read paperback that reminds me of holing up in my bedroom as a teenager. I feel bad for the doggie under the sticker. I suppose it doesn‘t help that I accidentally bent the corner of the cover either. 🐶
The first story Mail-order Bride was a quick read that had me grinning from ear to ear. This was a fun traditional-esc romance but it was also heartwarming and very well written. I could see these characters becoming regulars in a series and wouldn‘t be the least bit bored. The second story The snow bride was a similar story. I loved the kooky old gents in this and felt this was a bit more realistic.

Disclaimer: I love to watch HORRIBLE romantic Hallmark Xmas movies on Netflix during the holiday season.
The first story was AWFUL, unrealistic, hard to get into and that is unusual for me with romances. It was cheesy and predictable and not even a "this is bad but so good".
The second story had better development and was bad but in a fun way. I loved the secondary characters as they made me laugh out loud with their personalities.
