I‘m probably setting myself up for a reading slump, but I‘ve started another reading project that‘s probably going to take weeks to finish.🤓

I decided to go thru each book on my shelves to see if they still interest me. I started by reading the synopsis to the books with the lowest average rating. If I‘m intrigued, I jump straight into the book to see how far I get… or if I decide to unshelf. I see many DNFs & lighter shelves in my future.😅

Was it a literary masterpiece? Nah. Was it all tied up super-quickly, as if Adler realized there were only so many pages left? Pretty much. But was it an enjoyable read nonetheless? Yup. #thecharmers #elizabethadler

?This book is the absolute worst. This! Plus, an insistent repetition of the sentiment that men or money are one of the two things that always "get women in the end." AND instead of attributing details to character or plot, it is instead used to clarify exactly which fancy pants wine is being sipped or the thread count of the fanciest sheets. Or, of course, the material items in the grandest of all grand homes. Why can I never bail?! WHY?!
