pickLoved this! The short story format is a great intro to Heyer‘s Regency, if you have never picked any up. My favorite was “Bath Miss.” 😊 (The book is actually Pistols for Two with 3 new stories)

pick❄️❄️❄️❄️ I‘m not generally crazy about short stories. I do prefer the longer Heyer works I‘ve read but the stories are all quintessentially Heyer. You can see the ideas that turned into longer novels & they all have Heyer‘s signature flair for dialogue. The only story I didn‘t like was “Bath Miss”. The miss was annoying & it really stretched the imagination that the gentleman didn‘t find her so. #osrbc #romantsy #regency

#GeorgetteHeyer has been one of my favorite authors since I was 11, when I first picked up one of her books from my grandmother‘s collection of secondhand paperbacks. I‘m slowly rebuilding my own collection with a mixture of handed-down copies and brand-new editions. This is one I‘d never even heard of: Georgette‘s collected short stories from magazines! Like a nibble of a brownie rather than the whole square, but still very enjoyable.
