6-1-23: My 62nd finished book of 2023! This read like a textbook. I wanted it to flow better. Regardless it was still interesting in talking about there‘s right after silent films turned into talkies and how famous stars like Garbo, Dietrich and Crawford were closeted lesbians and how they maneuvered their lifestyles. The sewing circle was the name they hid under. That or the lavender marriage when they married a man who was gay. Happy Pride Month

According to this book many actresses in old Hollywood could say #ikissedagirl. I have not read this book yet. It could be crap. (Hmmm...now where did I put this book? I'll have to go looking for it.)

Oh man, I finally finished this book. So-so because it introduced a ton of new actresses to me to further research, but it was also basically just a giant information dump. I've also heard issues some people have had with the author's allegedly less than stellar source citing, I guess? So take this all with some salt if you read it. Great intro to golden age actresses if you don't know anything, tho.
