cathysaid @Jerdencon Agreed. Just amazing. I still remember a quote on one of the exhibits: “They told me the streets were paved with gold. They didn‘t tell me I‘d be the one paving them.” 6y
Librarybelle @Jerdencon @Cinfhen @Cathythoughts @cathysaid I really want to visit the Island, just to get a sense of what everyone who passed through the gates felt. It will such an emotional and humbling visit, but one I feel I really need to make, to help better understand sacrifices made for a “better” life. 6y
