Moonbath (Bain de lune in the original French) tells the story of Cétoute, found dead on the beach after a hurricane, and of her family over the course of the 20th century in Anse Bleue, a fictional village in Haiti. Stylistically stunning.

pickMoonbath (the English title) brings us to Anse Bleue in Haïti. We discover the Lafleur and the Mésidor: two families with tight links, but whose fate and life are very different. This book is not one of my favorite, but the poetic writing and the discovery of this isolated Haitian community make this book worth reading.
Trying to play catch up with our photo challenge! I loved, loved, loved reading Speak Gigantular last year that I had to purchase Moonbath! The same person that recommended Speak, also recommended the latter so I trust it will blow my mind. ♥️
