I chose this cause I ❤️ the idea of exploring a city you only know through books-that kind of vicarious travel is one of my favorite things about reading. By all rights I shouldn't have liked this as much as I did. Nothing really happens, & I'm not quite strong enough in the classics to have read all the books referenced here. But her writing is just so strong & this was the sweetest love letter to writers readers & to London-it just made me happy

I was having a hard time finding women authors whose names started with Q for #litsyAtoZ when I came upon this which I'm really enjoying so far!!

22/52 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 - I thoroughly enjoyed this book!! Although I did not “get” all the London Literary references because I haven‘t read ALLLL the wonderful books set in London, I still enjoyed it. I can‘t wait to visit London!!!

Well, I fell asleep while trying to finish reading this last night. I was determined to finish reading it at lunch, but never stopped for lunch. Tonight is the night to finish up!

For such a short book, it is taking me a long time to read. I know I was busy reading menus and museum plaques while traveling this week, but I am heading home today. Maybe I can finish the book on my 2 plane rides.

I am finding little time to read while on vacation, but I am reading a few pages each day. This chapter makes me want to read all of Dicken‘s work. So many books to read and so many places to visit....life is too short.

Spending an hour getting a pedicure and starting another book. Two chapters in and I am so in ❤️ with this book! This is the first book by Anna Quindlen that I have t ad, but I already know, I will read more.
