There is a lot here! About how national borders are harmful. It really goes deep into the history of nations vs states, the history of borders. Maybe too much? Regardless it gave me three full meals of food for thought, that's for sure.

Deeply compelling and timely read that will make you have to think deeply about the privilege of movement and how borders came to be/what functions they serve. Some say “open borders” woah that‘s radical...but as humanitarian crises pile up, future generations may wonder how we waited so long.
The closest thing I have to #gardening, since I live in an apartment, is going to the park and appreciating the skills of others. I stopped by this one after picking up my library holds today. #marchmadness
An engaging read examining borders from perspectives I had not considered. I'm not sure there is enough of a ramification study here but I will be deep in thought about it for some time. It's a great start to my #borders2017 reading project! As much as Trump gets the border attention, it is definitely not just him with the increased bordering.
I have been reading this no more than a chapter at a time, and last night read the chapter about the US-Mexico border. This book is good current examination of borders.
(this looks like it will be a good read!)
Aren't these the most gorgeous gifts for a new year! Thank you Verso Books for the Worldwide freeeeeeeeeeee shipping!!!!!!
Every individual has the right to move. We should not have to be tied to our place of birth, especially, if that place is no longer looking after its people. Collectively, we have to stop building borders and walls restricting those looking for a better life. And, we need to continue to denounce the anti-immigration rhetoric of our mis-guided leaders. We are in this together and we need to take care of each other.
