Just finished. This book was very informative.

Every individual has the right to move. We should not have to be tied to our place of birth, especially, if that place is no longer looking after its people. Collectively, we have to stop building borders and walls restricting those looking for a better life. And, we need to continue to denounce the anti-immigration rhetoric of our mis-guided leaders. We are in this together and we need to take care of each other.

I now understand people's political orientation a little better.

Overall, Luna was a good story. However, it was a little too simplistic for my taste. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this book.

Private Empire was a thorough examination of Exxon Mobil's business practices over the years. It can be a dry read at times. Nevertheless, it is loaded with some very good information about the oil industry.

The romantic notion of jihad is leading seemingly normal Americans to commit horrific crimes against their own or others for Islam. Government and law enforcement agencies are hard pressed to prevent another 9/11. Very informative. My favorite book so far this year. Highly recommend.

Just arrived to the Fort Lauderdale Airport. Unfortunately, my flight is delayed and I'm going to miss my connecting flight as well. Lady Luck is not on my side today. Thankfully, I have the "United States of Jihad" by Peter Bergen to keep me company. This situation may not be so bad after all.

As a liberal, I found this book surprisedly refreshing even though it directly contradicts what I have been lead to believe for the past 36 years. The quick reaction to call someone a racist has stymied intellectual discussions on race. This book is a must read for liberals and conservatives.
