This was fun and short. I needed a light read and this was exactly that.

Finished the second today and thought I read the series til the end.
I often have a problem with series. If they are planned as series, I often think, that there isn't happening enough in one book, but if a series was planned as a stand alone, the second book isn't that great.
I like the idea, that every month Mia visits different men and different situations, but the last 'month' in this book, was a bit too much... Let's have a look on book 3
After finishing the first book within 30 hours, I started the second one in the afternoon.
Instead of relaxing my body come up with a bad headache. So happy, that I can go to work tomorrow again and I don't even feel relaxed...
I'm halfway through the series now, and while I didn't enjoy Vol 2 quite as much as Vol 1 I still had a ton of fun. I love the found family Mia's built, and I get a kick out of how she pushes her clients' lives on track.
Downsides: Carlan still struggles with mid-sentence tense shifts, there're plenty of narrative redundancies, and she often describes POC characters' skin in terms of food. Not cool.
TW for attempted rape in the June story.
I can't deliver the promised hair pictures because even after a second coat the purple dye barely worked (I do NOT recommend Garnier's Deep Lilac) and my hair looks generally terrible today. I'm depressed over the whole thing. This purple-and-red look was supposed to be something celebratory and special, but it ended up being a waste of time and Optimum points.
I'm trying to distract myself with books and nature.
I'm thinking about adding this book to my #readathon stack. I loved the first book, so I'm curious to see if this one is just as good 🤓📖
Three obvious spelling mistakes!
