I love this cozy series, especially when set in the winter. I also adore how Jury and Plant are always interacting with the children who always seem drawn to them.

pickFinished up Number 5 in my favourite cosy mystery series. Good old Richard Jury back on the case, trudging through heavy snow in the north of England around Christmas Eve, nearly falling in love with wistful women who are nearly falling in love with him. There‘s always a pub with a warm fire and a hearty meal and some local characters like Dickie and Nutter. And the aristocracy being as bitchy as hell. Made me laugh out loud at least twice 😝

pickTurns out the mystery I picked up at the library is Christmas-themed (and just check out the library date card)! Richard Jury goes to the downtrodden north of England to solve a mystery the week before Christmas. Snowbound country estates, old churchyards, and pubs full of locals abound, as usual! 🌲🌲🌲🌲
