This is a picture I took myself the last time I was in Chicago for a trade show. Lovely city even though it rained the 4 days I was there.

Hey Chicago-area Littens, what are your favorite Chicago bookstores? I may be visiting Chicago and want to be prepared if I do go 😁📚

CaitZ If you want to travel to the western suburbs, Anderson's Bookshop has stores in Naperville, Downers Grove, and La Grange. There's also a Barnes & Noble downtown at Jackson and State about a block from the Harold Washington branch of the Chicago Public Library. It's the bookstore for DePaul University and doesn't always show up in searches. 6y
Avanders I recommend Myopic.. http://www.myopicbookstore.com I don‘t live there anymore, but when I did, it was one of my favorites! Also if you make it to Hyde Park, there‘s 57th Street Bookstore which is also 💯. https://57th.semcoop.com 6y
nitalibrarian I 2nd 57th Street Books. I also recommend The Book Table in Oak Park. 6y
ScientistSam Thanks so much for the recommendations @CaitZ, @Avanders, @nitalibrarian! 6y

Congratulations Chicago Cubs! ⚾️⚾️ I don't follow baseball much but am so happy for them. I'm more a fan of architecture and Chicago is a must-see! These were from the 1990s -- when we lived in Michigan, Chicago was a few hours drive away.

Hobbinol Go Cubs! What a great game! 8y
