I live in an apartment but this is the view from the front window. Last week- it poured for about 17 mins. #litsyneighborhood

This is a bail. It‘s boring and the translation is probably making it worse. Lots of repetitive language.
Hilarious, boundary-pushing, like always. Peruvian businessman blackmailed over photos of his orgy; meanwhile his wife is having an affair with her best friend.
My prize from FSG just arrived! That was quick. Now to read these...

#HeyJune Day 21: This has a very strong #ISawHerStandingThere vibe with the girl next door feel of the prompt. Llosa captured my heart in Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter (which I reviewed here: https://gatheringbooks.org/2016/10/08/saturday-reads-16/ ) - making this title here one of my most anticipated reads this year. So happy to score a review copy from my fave book distributor - and hardcover too!
Best thing about being a book blogger? Getting free books in the mail. Look at all these lovelies: Julian Barnes, Mario Vargas Llosa, Jane Harper, Ian Rankin, the new Bill Clinton/James Patterson novel. And it came with a thoughtful umbrella too, because you know, 🌧. Love my favourite distributor here in Singapore. #BookHaul #BookMail - Free books are the absolute best!
#ReadingResolutions Day 16: While most of these titles are already out in some countries, these are #ToBeReleased here in Singapore - a few are out, a few are upcoming. I posted my most anticipated reads in 2018 here: https://gatheringbooks.org/2018/02/10/saturday-reads-35/
