Not read The Dark Tower in numerous years, I'm due a re-read and I CANNOT wait; I'm going to read this beforehand though.. been meaning to buy it for quite sometime.

It's like an encyclopedia of the series , smells glorious too! 👃😃

Anyone read this? What did you think of it?

BOOOOOK HAAAAUL!

Children's hospital bi-annual used book sale! 🤸‍♂️

Super happy with all the pulp Doc Savage paperbacks I found that I didn't have yet. A lot of other great stuffs too!

The entire haul cost 50 bucks so I'm pretty proud of myself. 🙃

F is for Furth, as in Robin Furth.
King may have written the Dark Tower books, but Robin wrote the book ABOUT the books, the Concordance detailing all the characters, places, events, phrases, etc., in King‘s magnum opus & all the connected works.

She now works on the development of the graphic novels of the Dark Tower World.

Fun fact: she decided she wanted to work for him when she was 14.

Erinsuereads Oh I love the concordance books. I actually need new copies. Mine is completely wrecked and literally falling apart. I don‘t think i would have ever enjoyed them as much as a did without the concordance on the second read through. 7y
Sweettartlaura @ErinSueG I need a new one, too - mine got wrecked in an apartment flood 7y
Erinsuereads @Sweettartlaura ughhhhh. Worst. Floods are a sensitive topic to begin with when in connection to Stephen King. Did you see that thing where tons of his original manuscripts were ruined in a basement flood? I nearly died 7y

Sweettartlaura @ErinSueG 😮😮😮Noooo!!! Ugh, that‘s awful. 7y
Erinsuereads Google it when you need a good cry. 7y
Sweettartlaura @ErinSueG 🤣🤣🤣 7y
GarthRanzz I have this but haven‘t read it yet. Need to finish the series first! And I heard about that flood! I just couldn‘t believe it. I would have had them all locked up in a vault that would survive a nuclear blast! 7y
Sweettartlaura @GarthRanzz I found it wasn‘t so much something to read as a reference book. If I was reading Doctor Sleep, for instance, & something jarred my memory, I could look it up here to see if it existed in the King Universe. Don‘t be afraid to use it. Just avoid any synopses of books - that should cover you. 7y

Erinsuereads Agreed @Sweettartlaura . It makes a much better reference. @GarthRanzz the first Time I read dark tower through by itself and then the second time i just kept it with me and looked everything up. It puts a whole different perspective on most of his other books and is useful with them as well 7y
Bookladylinda I totally need to get this one to use for a reference guide!!! 7y
Sweettartlaura @Bookladylinda Get it! You‘ll be glad you did 🙂 7y

#stephenking17 #favoriteseries

The question is - your favorite King series?
The answer is - The Dark Tower
Above, I show my work😜

On the right - ALLLLLLL the books involved in this series, not just the 8 that follow it straight.
On the left - the Concordance that documents all people, places, & things that appear in this series.

If you think you don't like the Dark Tower, & that you can avoid it, you ARE missing out.

Abcdefghijklmnop 👏👏👏 8y
