Monday takes Rabbi David Small on a private exodus to Israel for a much needed rest. But as usual, trouble follows the Rabbi. While his congregation at home is busy plotting his dismissal, the Rabbi is up against the Wall -- in an international incident involving a young American student, Israeli intelligence, and a group of Arab terrorists with murder on their minds . . .

4-21-24: My 10th finished book of 2024! This is a very slow book written in 1972, about a rabbi named David and his wife Miriam. When David decides he needs a break, he takes a 3 month leave of absence from his synagogue to travel to Israel with his wife and son. He becomes involved in a recent set of bombings while in Israel and befriends a foreign correspondent visiting his son. Back home, the congregation is wondering if David will return.

"He poked his head out the window and shouted at the driver of the car, 'May no harm befall you, but you are a great fool.'" Heh. Wish I was that polite when I get cut off.
