Pickpick

This is one of my favourite children‘s books. It describes a park outing from the perspective of four distinct characters: an uptight Mum, down-on-his-luck Dad a time, fearful boy, and a joyful little girl. Not only do the voices change, but the artwork also is modified to fit the perspective/voice of each character. I use this to teach perspective teaching skills to children with ASD.

I read this book to my sons class for Read Across America day. We talked about words & art working together to tell the story from different perspectives. They loved it - so I bought them a copy for the classroom library.
