Pennies in Bermuda have pigs on one side. I'm certainly going to need that information one day, I'm sure.

This is a book with pictures representing each element. It is simply called 'The Elements.' #simplicityday #julyjam @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Eggs
This book is great. It‘s not the kind of book I would normally read, but it was extremely interesting earning about al of the elements.
It's that time of year. With Jolabokaflod and Christmas right around the corner, I thought it'd be fun to share some bookish gift ideas. Feel free to share book recommendations, reading accessories, Etsy finds, etc, and tag #giftguide2020
I have three books for those with a curious mind. Will My Cat deals with honestly with questions about death and dying without being morbid. What If? is very scientific, but not too technical, and very funny. -->
Looking on my shelves for a book I don't remember buying, and I spot this... Which I just requested from the library yesterday after seeing @Gezemice 's post. 😂 #dontrememberbuyingthis #aprilbookshowers

One of the beautiful spreads about each element in this book. Science nerds and non-science people will be both delighted by this book. The pictures are amazing, most taken by Theo Gray himself.

I live in Central Illinois and am lucky to know the author of this gorgeous book. Theo Gray lives a few blocks from me and his daughter went to school with mine. His hobby is the periodic table of elements. He actually has a table that contains a sample of each element - well, the ones that are containable and not dangerous, at least.
This book is beautiful and educational, perfect for the coffee table.
Each element of the periodic table has a two-page spread, with excellent photos (mostly of items that the author has collected) & an entertaining & informative blurb describing the history of the element & its uses. A lot of it likely went over Charlie's head, but he enjoyed it nonetheless and exposure to the Coolness of Science is essential, I think. *I* certainly enjoyed it; Gray is a hoot and we laughed out loud in spots at his funny quips.
