I cannot believe Thomas‘s real name is Stephen! It sounds so weird in my mind!
*gasp!* Teresa never got her memory wiped! 😵
I cannot believe Thomas‘s real name is Stephen! It sounds so weird in my mind!
So this isn‘t about the book itself, it‘s actually about the movie. So I was watching it today, and I realized something, if you take certain parts of the whole movie series, and combine them, it could be like a short horror film.
A spectacular book, that 100% is worth the hype. The end sort of ends in a cliffhanger, but not so much that you‘re like, OMG, what happens, and then you get super mad when there‘s not a fourth book. It was so sad, and I loved it! I almost cried in class when I retracted the infamous page 250. It was a great ending to an amazing series, and I loved it all. James Dashner write to prequels, and I might get in those soon. Loved it 🥰
Spectacular, I loved this book! Its about how when Thomas and his friends get transported to The Scorch, which is super hot btw, they have to get through a town full of people who have a disease which makes them inhumane. They also have to get passed another group, who went through the same thing as them, except only girls. They‘re sent to kill Thomas, but, and both groups are promised a safe haven, and no more trials if they make it. 😍
I‘m only going to review them one at a time, but I‘ve finished the series. So far I‘ve only read the main trilogy, but I‘m going to start reading one of the prequels. It‘s about a boy named Thomas, who was sent to a maze, full of guys, that no one has been able to solve. The next day a girl comes, and they solve the maze. It‘s explained to them, by a group name WICKED that they are part of what they call “The Trials”. Wonderfully written, loved it
I did a bookstore run the other day, and got 7 new books. 6 of them, I have not read, but the Kane Chronicles book I have. I got the second and third books as a gift, but not the first, and now I got them. I‘ve finished The Maze Runner, and reading The Scorch Trials. I got all of The Maze Runner series for $5 each, and the total was $53.
This is a thriller/mystery taken place around Valentine‘s Day. Lylah and her friends are going out to a party, and when they‘re getting ready, the doorbell rings and an anonymous note is on the doorstep. It‘s addressed to their friend Sonny, and since he‘s sort of the “player type” they all pass it off as some sort of secret admirer. They laugh it off, except the next morning, Sonny is found dead. And another note is left on the door. Amazing! 🤩
This book is great. It‘s not the kind of book I would normally read, but it was extremely interesting earning about al of the elements.
So this book is about a girl who starts hearing voices telling her to hurt herself and other stuff. Her dad tries to help her by sending her to a hospital, where she sees a psychiatrist but also has to take drugs that she doesn‘t like. In the hospital she meets a girl named Paris who later becomes her best friend. The whole book is basically a letter to a boy who was staying with them for the summer. It‘s a wonderful book and I loved every second
This book was about a 13 year old Vietnamese girl who would finally be able to go to the beach by herself as of that summer. Turns out, she has to go to Vietnam to help her grandma see if her husband, who served in the war, was still alive. She doesn‘t want to go because there‘s this guy who she likes and wants to know more about during the summer. It turns out she has a great time. This book was amazing!!
This book was great. 😊 It‘s about navigating life with friendship fails, new friendships etc. It takes place on Cape Cod, so there‘s some fishing stuff, but not so much that us non-fishers can‘t understand it.
This book was awesome. It‘s about a prestigious college where the people who go there have to be smart. The main character, Ines, had basically gave up education by the time she got to Catherine. The school in general, focuses in Plasm when they‘re not supposed to. Again, this book is spectacular and I would totally recommend it to all sorts of people.
This book was good at first, but it slowly died out. I almost bailed but then decided to just hurry up and finish. The ending wasn‘t very good, to many unanswered questions. I hope there‘s a sequel, because this is not a very good stand alone.
Since today is National Women‘s day, I thought I would post a book just about women and girls. It‘s a great book about women who changed the world. Each page is dedicated to one women/girl with a picture of them in the side.
This book series is amazing. There‘s actually 7 books but I only have 4 😢. The first one is about Dorothy in Oz. The second one is about a boy named Tip who runs away to the emerald city and finds out who he‘s supposed to be. The third one is about Dorothy and her pet chicken get caught in a storm and get stranded on the land of Ev. The fourth one is about the wizard and Dorothy getting stuck in the middle of the Earth and having to go back to Oz
1) Not very often, I like to read/listen to books that occupy my time. If I do, I‘ll read a whole bunch at a time.
2) No, I‘m not. I just moved to America from Japan, ( military child) and I don‘t really no anyone because of Covid-19.
@ErinSueMreads how about you?
I‘m cleaning off my bookshelf! I know, it‘s a small bookshelf, but it‘s the only one my parents let me have. Comment if you have any recommendations of cheap, bigger bookshelves. The first 4 I put books in series alphabetically. The last 4 are books that aren‘t in series and I put them in alphabetical order. The last one, is my sisters. I probably won‘t be done for a few days. 😁😜
Audiobook, hot chocolate, and jewelry making for my little cousins who are coming over next week. Haven‘t read/listened to a lot of the book but so far it‘s pretty good.
1. The book I‘ve read more than twice because it used to be my grandmas and is called The Giant Book by Beatrice Schenk de Regniers.
2. Most books I recommend usually have to do with their reading level and reading preferences, but I think this book is a classic so... yeah.
So Excited!! I finally got Pride and Prejudice! I had read the book online, and wanted to buy it but all the ones that I found were to expensive, so I decided to wait a bit before buying it. Now I‘m glad I did because I went to Costco, (yes, I know know not the most ideal place to find a book. But I like to look just in case there‘s something I like) and I‘m glad I did, because I found one for only $8!!
“Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.”
“The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel, must be intolerably stupid.”
This book is amazing! It‘s the diary of a rich Jewish girl in Austria when Hitler took over. It tells about how she went from rich to poor and how everyone who knew her treated her different. She also talks about how because she looks Aryan, people who don‘t know her treat her like any “normal” person. She has to move to New York with her aunt because it‘s safer.
This book series was so good!! It made me cry, laugh, and I fell in love with Dinah. I would seriously recommend this to girls with dark hearts.
