I really enjoyed this re-read of A Full Life, Jimmy Carter‘s reflections on his life. It‘s not very long so each topic is brief but it gives a great overview of all he has done both in the White House and beyond.

Jimmy Carter was president before I was old enough to know what a president was, but I have been a great admirer of his post-presidential life. I‘m sad to hear that he is going into hospice care, but so happy that I once met such an amazing role model. This is me with him after his Sunday School lesson in 2011. I‘m re-reading the tagged book in his honor. He‘s certainly had a full life.
"What are the things that you can't see that are important?"
Such an interesting question! What do you think? I'd say curiosity, contentment, plus something sciency - like the chemistry in brains.
I have always admired President Carter. His writing style is not one I particularly enjoy, but the stories he tells are very good and can be learned from.
For #Legend I had to pick Jimmy Carter in honor of his becoming our longest living former president. (As of Friday) Meeting him at his church is one of my favorite memories. He continues to write, volunteer, and do so much for our world. #literaryluck
For today's #heartsandhardcovers prompt #WhoDoYouLove I'm sharing public figures whom I love, for different reasons. I'm sure I don't need to explain my love for Tom Hardy. @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
I have to share Jimmy Carter as #MyHero for today's prompt. I admire him so much for all he has done as America's most active former president. He is such a genuine person, which is unusual among politicians. He's done so much for democracy, human rights, and public health around the world. These are all the books I have by him, and my picture with him after his Sunday School class in Plains, Georgia, several years ago. #90sinJuly
No. 39 has had a much better run post-presidency than during his time in the White House. In this book, he has a chapter on "Issues Mostly Resolved" during his presidency and on "Problems Still Pending." Both chapters are a terrific primer on important issues. #PresidentsDay #JimmyCarter
As far as audio books go, I usually love autobiography read by the author. So, I had high hopes when I checked this out from the library. But, alas, I just couldn't do it, and had to bail. This was not based on content, but rather President Carter's reading voice. I just had a really hard time following along. I absolutely think I'll still pick this up in physical form and try actually reading it instead. But the audio just wasn't for me.
