THIS BOOK. WOW. I initially picked it up because the cover is pretty and I'm a sucker for pretty covers. But man oh man this book has really amazed me. Apparently I like space opera! Check it out if it strikes your fancy.

Came home to these two lovelies waiting for me as a gift from my father! I love receiving mail, especially when it's books! Yay for pretty things!:)
**when all of your requests at the library come in at once** This wasn't even all of them. I turned around after taking this picture and found 9 more books on my window sill.
In other news I finished Empire of Storms (WEEPING) and needed another high fantasy and stumbled upon Falling Kingdoms. GUYS. I have been massively missing out. Falling Kingdoms is STELLAR. I live on the west coat & we are prepping for a massive storm so much reading. CHEERS
Finally getting the chance to read Six of Crows. I haven't really been able to get into. I don't know what it is but I've just not really clicked with the book. So I'm trying real hard this time because I know so many people love it!
Little did I know and much to my delight, Trenton Lee Stewart has released another book and look at that cover! I love me a pretty cover and this one is pretty spectacular.
The littlest snippet of my to-be-read pile. Currently drowning under all the books I want/need to read. There's so little time and so many books and I don't know what to do with myself.
Been kind of AWOL for the last week or so. I'm just finishing up a two and a half week trip in China! Internet connection has been shoddy and I was pretty sick for a lot of it.
But huzzah🎉 I go home tomorrow and I found a Starbucks very close to my hotel. In the mean time I've been reading up a storm and finally digging into all of Rick Riordan's books since I stopped after the Percy Jackson series which is such a shame. Happy Tuesday from 🇨🇳
I'm currently in China with a nasty cold with no access to cough drops so I'm eating Icebreakers like its my job and re-reading Eragon because this was my introduction to fantasy and I love it dearly. People always seem to knock on Eragon and say it's only a replica of what's been done before but I don't think so. And no matter what I'll always love it!
Reading and watching and drinking. I've had my eye on this book for ages and finally got to take it home. A little bit more "out there" than I'm used to but I never back down from a challenge or a chance to think outside the box. Plus this sounds mighty interesting.
Even more so than before, the Throne of Glass world is coming to life. This colouring book blows my freaking mind.
SCREAMING because it's in my hands and I can't BREATHE. If you need me I will be unreachable for the rest of the day because THIS
Everyone who's read this has told me that I MUST read it; as if my very life depends upon it. So what better a time to start than a cozy Sunday night, wrapped in my Star Wars blanket, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Autumn.

This was published in 1995 and I am WAY behind on finally getting down to reading it. But alas. I am here.
Today's obsession is this giant beauty. I'm only about an 1/8 of the way into this book but I immediately ran out and bought the next one because I am HOOKED. Friends. Family. Humans everywhere. Grab yourself a coffee and this book and thank me later.
Young Fitz is taking me on an adventure as I try to rescue him from my 60+ book deep to-be-read pile
I live under many lucky stars and my local Barnes and Noble shelved this beauty THREE days early! I picked it up yesterday and tore through it. I have much thoughts but no spoilers because it's not technically released yet. But all y'all are in for a ride🙌🏼

Water. Star Wars blanket. Drums of Autumn. Perfect way to while away a sudden rise in insomnia.
Sipping some sparkling water and diving into a new fascinating history about Ancient Rome🎉 #ancientrome #history
I never used to be a reader of anything but fiction. But let me tell you I read Hamilton and then it's just open the door for so many other books! Foundation is absolutely exquisite. Rich and full of so much history. I just can't get enough! Plus it's a series so there's more books! Yippee! #England #History #nonfiction
#keepthesecrets so no spoilers but basically I'm weeping out of pure joy springing from the deepest part of my soul. So very magical. My nerd heart is leaping.
I've owned The Darkest Minds for a little over a year and still haven't managed to crack it open. Well that's changing tonight. Rereading The Maze Runner because I never finished the series and trying some Shannara because fantasy is my favourite.
When your nails match you current read you know it's probably meant to be...🎉
"The world is quiet here." Lemony Snicket. Basically this books series is my childhood and introduced me to a myriad of things including satire, sarcasm, dark humour, and fantastic writing.
"When the political salvation of any community is depending, it is incumbent upon those who are set up as it's guardians to embrace such measures as have justice, vigour, and a probability of success to recommend them." A.Ham
GUYS. I don't like biographies but I'm BLOWN AWAY by this one. Read it.
This book. Wow. I'm quite speechless. This book has skyrocketed to the top of my list of favourites. It's raw and honest and real and sad and beautiful all at the same time.
Just a little light reading for the day;) because more than anything history fascinates me!
I've tried and tried and tried to read this book. Over and over again I've tried. I even rented the audiobook. Couldn't get through that either. I've been told is wonderful so her I am. Attempting it once more.
"Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much."
My childhood is wrapped up in the battered and well loved pages of this magical series.
Steamed milk and diving into a book that I've never had the chance to read. I loved Lady Midnight as well as The Mortal Instruments and for some reason never quite got into The Infernal Devices. But I've heard great things so I figured I'd give it a shot!
I know it's supposedly "terrible" but I often judge books by their cover before knowing what they're about. If the cover isn't selling it for me I probably won't pick up the book. This cover drew me in instantly and I'm already in love with this beautiful story.
I was forced to read this book is grade school and hated it on principle. But now I'm older and wiser and figured maybe I should give it a second chance...here's to rediscovery!
"When he meets my eyes, somehow he answers my question without speaking. The hurt I see radiating from him is enough to break my heart. He is tired. He is broken. And he doesn't want to fight anymore."
"But it doesn't matter. For now, these steps are enough. The first few precious steps into darkness. Into the unknown. Into freedom."
Elias
Rereading the series because Empire of Storms comes out in September and this series gives me life...
"It was a pleasure to burn. It was a pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed."
"I didn't need Mim's tea-reading to learn the Villain of my story. The Villain had blond hair and the Hero's heart on her sleeve. She had teeth and claws and a silver tongue, like the smooth-talking devil in Ash and Grim."
This book destroyed my soul in so many ways. Dying to read the next instalment!
