One of my all-time favorites! I reread this one at least once a year. 💕

I've heard this compared multiple times to Naomi Novik's Uprooted, but I'm not sure if the comparison holds up. This is a much quieter novel. I loved the folklore elements of the story, but I had trouble with the rest. I think I would probably have enjoyed it a lot more had the Uprooted comparison not been made.

I watched the Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell mini series last month and I'm absolutely obsessed, so I decided it was finally time to dive in to all 846 pages. I'm about 200 pages in and 😍😍

Really excited that I'm finally able to try out Litsy for Android so I can show off all my favorite books... and those on my TBR, like N.K. Jemisin's The Obelisk Gate. I really loved the first book in the series, The Fifth Season, and can't wait to get started on this. ❤
