I've felt like a lot of the time with this series that most of the action takes place in the last few chapters and everything before that is kinda idle and aimless. I still enjoyed it though, and this book felt like it showed some character growth in the idle first 80% so it was fine.

I didn't think I was gonna like this as much as I did, given what happened on the last book to my favorite character, but I ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Aes Sedai centric plots are always good.

It took me longer to get through this one than the others. I'm sad about the ending and I have one question, is it valid to Google what's gonna happen to one character through the rest of the series just for my peace of mind? I just want to know if I should read the rest of the series with hope or with despair.

I have mixed feelings about this book. Overall I liked it, I loved the concept of the book and the way the story is told is great, I just thought the ending was a little cheesy and predictable.

This has been my favorite so far, even though there were some things that I wish would've been explained further (even if the book was long enough as it is). Series pages read: 3134. Time read: 82 hours.

55 hours and 2K+ pages later, I'm now done with the first three books of the Wheel of Time series. I liked this book a lot more than the second one, maybe because it had less Rand and more Moraine. On to book 4!

Book two of The Wheel of Time. I know I still have a long way to go but I'm enjoying the series so far.

Got the whole series for Christmas cause I felt the show had a lot of gaps, I'm gonna try to read it all by the first half of the year. This was a good start, very typical high fantasy book: a quest and reluctant heroes and a magical guide. I like there's more of a gender balance in this and I loved Moraine, though I might be biased cause I love Rosamund Pike. 4.5 ⭐

I know a few people were disappointed by this, and it is a weird book, but I loved it. The characters are great and I loved how she weaved a story outside of the main story and how it all came together in the end. The only part I couldn't really understand was the bees at the end, but I love that she got the idea for the bees and the keys from Brakebills from Lev Grossman's The Magicians.

I didn't really connect much with the characters and nothing actually happens. Also the lack of quotation marks when there's dialogue was a little annoying.

Julianna is great at telling a story and her story is surprisingly interesting. Mostly about her childhood/youth, doesn't really go into her acting career or her co-stars, but if you go in not expecting gossip it really is a great book.

This is very weird but also really awesome and I loved it. Totally not what I expected.

Reread this before watching the movie. Still awesome.

I don't know if I'm biased because I love Alyssa from Hysteria (crooked media podcast) but I completely loved this book. It's funny and honest and inspiring and all around awesome.

Last book in The Wayfarer series. I loved this book, and the series. I really like how nuanced the characters are and how they all come together and drive the story.

Read this so I could watch the show. It's okay, could've used a little more "mystery" but I liked the character dynamics. What I've watched of the show so far seems to not be sticking to the book so much, maybe because of this.

I've read these twice and finally got a (physical) copy. Love them. ❤️

Just bought the 10th anniversary edition of The Name of the Wind, it's gorgeous. :)

Amazing collection of short stories. I love good sci-fi, especially good sci-fi that makes you think. I will definitely be looking for more stuff by Ted Chiang.

Okay book. The writing's good but the plot felt a little forced, it felt like it was tied up a little too neatly. The pacing was a bit off, the story moves a bit slow at the beginning, and is kinda rushed at the end, which could also be a consequence of trying to make everything fit where it should in the end.

Story of a 70's band told in an oral history-style format. It's an interesting book, the characters are pretty good, I just wish the ending had been a bit more solid.

Great companion piece for the Kingkiller Chronicle. As the author mentions, it's an unusual story, but it's a lovely story about a great character.
