4/5, another great installment in the best series ever
my favorite of the series so far, this is easily in my top 5 favorite books of all time. it was thrilling, suspenseful, and tapped into emotions I didn't know I had. my heart broke for the characters, and swelled with love and happiness at the ending. if you want to read this, start at book one, and work your way up to this masterpiece of literature. don't cheat yourself the backstory of the characters who become your family throughout the series.

currently reading 😍
y'all. this book had me guessing until the very end. my heart was racing in a way that it wasn't for In a Dark Dark Wood, and at one point I noticed I wasn't breathing. I hope other people had similar experiences! 9/10 would recommend
nostalgia mixed with fan fiction makes for an decent script and an amazing experience. there were times when I chuckled, and times when I was like "WTF AM I READING", but there's nothing more exciting than being able to talk to my fellow potterheads about another installment in the series ?
Three Pines has become my home and the residents my family, so now I'm at a fork in the road: one path has the remaining 4 (soon to be 5) books in this series and knowing the resolution; the other path has my TBR and prolonging this series for as long as possible. it's quite the conundrum!
very excited to start my Book of the Month club book from June!
only 1/5 through this book and already feel confident in recommending
"Something dark had joined the party that night. And it produced not magic but murder."
Louise Penny is such a phenomenal writer - I am completely enthralled with the Inspector Gamache series.
this book has started off with a bang! so excited to see how the rest pans out ☺️
