3/5⭐️ I enjoyed the adventure of this trio, appreciated reading their hardships. Artt really started getting on my nerves and what turned at the end was sort of out of left field.

Mia named every dog they passed-Itchy, Gravy, Crackers, Poop….

“No, not you, too, Nina. I mean, you were always supportive of me, but I can‘t stand it if my deepest desire is for your constant, unconditional approval. Is it? Am I that needy? That shallow?”
She could actually go back to high school! And maybe just stay there for as long as she wanted! It was her deepest, most secret, most shameful desire.
“You‘re not psychotic. You‘re depressed because you‘re not as special as you thought and your life‘s a mess and you‘re looking for excuses.”
“Thanks, Mom.”
It was all tension and discomfort, and yet sometimes that could feel good, the weirdly addictive pain of pressing a fingernail into her gums.
“You‘re worth gold, you hear me?” said the less-blond one. “Gold.”
I‘m looking straight at him…suddenly aware that I‘ve just made the biggest mistake of my career. The biggest mistake of my life. And all I can think about is Sloan.
~I squeeze my eyes shut and all I see is Sloan.~
And then he returns his focus to his textbook, resuming his reading like he didn‘t just attempt to set me on fire. 🔥
Lindsay has white frilly knickers on under her tennis skirt. (Not the thong, thank goodness, otherwise Miss Stamp might have had an outburst of lesbian lust and put me off my game.)
For heaven‘s sake, she is so wet-some sniveling, scheming snot takes her fiancé/boyfriend and all she can do is run around in sports knickers, hitting a Ping-Pong ball with some feathers stuck in it.
‘I think I may become a New Age person next year and celebrate the winter solstice by leaving my family and going to Stonehenge to dance with Druids.‘
(It‘s giving Outlander lol)
The boy I like hates me and prefers a wet weed with sticky-out ears…
Mum said, “It‘s his Masonic apron. You know, that huddly duddly, pulling up one sock, I‘ll scratch your back if you scratch mine sort of thing.”
How I picture Artt/The Prior (the “stranger” from Lord of the Rings show)
2.75/5⭐️ Took me way too long to finish this. I liked it but I didn‘t love it, especially not enough to finish it any faster. Some of the material I didn‘t care about and some of it was kinda weird. I did enjoy it though and would still recommend.
3.5/5⭐️ I really enjoyed this one! The authors did a good job of keeping me exceedingly nervous during peak high-pressure situations.
He was a shooting star and he blinded me with his light.

3/5 ⭐️ the story ended up being a little different than I expected, but still had a couple moments where I teared up!
I sort of pictured Nina as someone similiar to Shelley Conn as Indira Shetty from Gen V.
3/5⭐️ I was able to call the big twist! I thought it was good but not up to the hype.
3/5 ⭐️ It got better as it went on. I predicted a couple things (one of them being the big twist in part one) but I was surprised by a few things! Especially the big twist at the very end! Gave me a bit of “The Housemaid” vibes by Frieda.
“ The man who trusts in spells is dueling with a glass sword.” -Maester Luwin
~Somewhat~ how I pictured Finny (snagged this off the internet, no idea who the kid is lol)
3.5/5 ⭐️ This accurate portrayal of teenagers, soulmates, and the relationships they have left me sobbing at the end even though I knew part of it was coming. The only part that kind of annoyed me was the tiaras.
“You must stop being afraid, Nancy. That is the trouble, isn‘t it? You are afraid of leaving me. You are afraid of what will happen if you go back.”
-Minerva
3.5/5 ⭐️ This adventure traveled over land and sea and I enjoyed it all. I even shed some tears here and there.
… and a skull in the corner, like on the other memorials: a reminder that death comes to us all.
4/5⭐️ Finally finding out what the Bright Lands are was absolutely nuts. Wasn‘t expecting all that! I loved the way the book paced itself with clues every which way but still never enough for me to figure out till the big reveal. I think I enjoyed Clark‘s POV best.
How I picture Deputy Starsha Clark (Navarro from True Detective season 4)
How I picture Kimbra Lott (Greta Bowie/Keene from IT)
4/5⭐️
What an interesting story with wonderfully strange characters! I devoured this one pretty quick (for my personal speed).
“If you keep talking about things that don‘t matter, we‘re going to run out of time to do things that do.”

“… I‘ve looked at nothing and no one since the first day I laid eyes on ~you~. I stepped into that godforsaken boardroom, and you practically demanded I become obsessed with you.”
-Rhett Eaton
How I pictured Rhett Eaton (a mix of Kevin from 7th Heaven {George Stults} and Cormac from Big Sky {Luke Mitchell})
How I pictured Summer Hamilton (Kayla Wallace as Rebecca from Landman)
⭐️2.5/5 stars
More spicy than I thought it was going to be and that I needed it to be. I enjoyed the rodeo aspects.
Me with the 16/17 books I managed to read this year! Top favorites were An Echo in the Bone, All the Lost Things, and Iron Flame. Really enjoyed some of these! Not pictured is My Dark Vanessa.
3/5 ⭐️
A fast-paced read with some unhinged characters! This book gave me “Verity” vibes.
