No offense but after reading the first three books in the throne of glass series I did not think this book would be as good as it is right now

No spoilers on the notes, don't worry. Reading "One of Us Is Lying" and I'm making notes on all the characters. I'm so excited.
If you are looking for morally ambiguous character and a high-concept fantasy (or is it paranormal?) based in a dystopian setting, you've come to the right place. Plus, no romance, just awesomeness.
Do you guys ever go to Farmer's Markets? We have a really nice one in my town! I'm finally getting settled into our new apartment; it has a nice community pool.
Yeah it was ok. Not a great plot, not a lot of time spent exploring character relationships or characters themselves. All the characters seemed really flat and half constructed. Good concept, not a great follow through
4.5/5 stars. This was an amazing audiobook production, and the story blew me away. I loved the characters!!! Wow! Flawed, vulnerable, insecure. Laia and Elias grew so much throughout the story, and I loved every second of it. Even better, I didn't find myself favoring one voice over the other, but just LOVED them both. There are still questions for the second book to answer, and I can't wait to get to it.
3/5 stars. This book was pretty good until the end, which felt like a complete cop out. I like the fact that this book had an adopted poc main character but honestly it felt like a white woman was trying to be cultured and it went completely wrong. But that's just what I got from it. Did any of you like this book? What did you think of the authors take on aboriginal culture in America?
4.5/5 stars for Rebel Of the Sands. The .5 is extra for being set in a culture not inspired by Western/Anglo culture and ideals when YA is mostly just that. What books do you love that are inspired by unique cultures? Two of my favorites are An Absolutely True Diary of A Part-Time Indian and The Wrath And The Dawn
What are some darker stories you've indulged in recently? My favorite things to read during the summer are dark reads with morally ambiguous characters. Two books I'm most excited about? Six of Crows and This Savage Song.
No book photo tonight guys! My dog just got back from surgery. But I can say that I am currently listening to An Ember in the Ashes on TuneIn and I am LOVING it so far! Thanks for your understanding!
Talk about having an unpopular opinion. Sarah Maas seems to confuse the idea of "strong female character" with a character that you make as special and powerful as possible because it's the only way you know how to make a character interesting. No, a strong character is a well-developed character. Honestly with the abundance of female fantasy leads popping up in YA recently, Aelin just isn't that impressive.
Hey guys! You won't believe it; I'm actually moving into an apartment on July 1st and I just found out. Crazy stuff man. At least I get to pick some books to keep out of storage while we try to find a house. How are you guys doing? Any huge changes haha?
4.75/5 Definitely the best book I've read this year. Calling it now: this is the best book I'm going to read this year.
