I read Warcross first, and many reviews compare it to Ready Player One stating the latter is much better. I loved Warcross, so let‘s see how it goes with this one.
“I‘m on the toilet at the 9:30 Club, and I‘m wondering how mermaids pee.” — great first line. 😂 🧜🏼♀️
Love these magnetic bookmarks by Happy Hello Co. 😍😍😍 so cute! (https://www.etsy.com/shop/happyhelloco)
Just the book I needed to get me out of my slump! Cute love stories are my fave. Kasie West did not disappoint with this one.
My sister is home from New York for the holidays!! 🎄☺️ & she brought bookish gifts with her 😍📚 Such a beautiful stack.
A friend recommended this book to me a while ago. Seems like the perfect week to begin reading it!
Spending my birthday with an impromptu road trip to my favorite Starbucks & beginning my holiday reading with one of my favorite classics: Little Women 💜 & free VL 🎂☕️#December9 #HappyBirthdayToMe
Morning reading before work, and a much needed pep talk from a sugar packet: “No hay mal que por bien no venga.” #BloqueaLaAmargura.
“Book sized” gifts are the best gifts! 🎁😍📖
& lavender plants 💜
“To Side with the Antigones of the World and Never the Creons”
Trying something different than what I usually read. Love the illustrations! Intrigued for Vol. 2.
The first time I saw this book cover, the black backdrop and pink bubble gum reminded me of the Dead Like Me TV series cover. Started reading it today and in the first few pages it mentions an out of print novel called “The Bubblegum Reaper”... 😶 REALLY making me want to rewatch Dead Like Me 😅💜 But, alas, there is still no electricity 😔🇵🇷 Anyway, back to Nanette O‘Hare‘s story! 🔦 📖 ☺️
Early birthday present from me to me 📖🎂🙃 I adore Tom Hanks as an actor, so I have high hopes for his book. Excited to read it!
Sunday reading to escape the doom & gloom & heat. Really enjoyed this book! Simon & Blue are so cute!

Can‘t watch any of my favorite horror movies this year, but I have magical reads & Netflix downloads to keep me company! #LifeAfterHurricaneMaria
I felt there was something off with this one. It was missing that CoHo touch that is so present in her previous books. Entertaining, nonetheless. 3/5 stars.
Read The Summer I Turned Pretty series a couple of years ago after adoring the TATBILB series, but was hugely disappointed. Today I decided to give them away to a friend who I think will appreciate them more, but first skimmed through the pages and saw this quote I had underlined - still love it. Bonds made with childhood friends are forever. They know you in a way no one else ever will. They know your history.
"i will no longer compare my path to others - i refuse to do a disservice to my life"
"Somebody once told me that this is a place where everything is better and everything is safe." - One Tree Hill

Loved it! Such an addictive storyline! I couldn't put it down. 5/5 stars. Also, loved that meet cute! ?? P.S. Coincidentally, Colleen just posted today on the "Colleen Hoover's CoHorts" Facebook Page a character name pronunciation guide, and I found out I'd been mentally mispronouncing Asa's name. It's correctly pronounced "Asa: Aysuh, long a and suh". I'd been pronouncing it Asa, as in, "Mata la cucaracha, ASÁ!!" ...??♀️?Oh well! ??♀️?
#AdamSilvera 's endearing characters and heartfelt stories always make me cry at the end. 4/5 stars. Read this one after Hurricane Maria, trying to stay sane with books & coffee amidst the devastation.
Just finished reading More Happy Than Not & oh man... I'm so glad I didn't read this one in public! Definitely a story that is going to stay with me for a very long time. Heart-wrenching; that last third of the book had me devastated. This is a beautifully written book that seems to get sadder with every page, but never feels hopeless. 4.5 stars.
Wanted to read it. Got intimidated by the page count. Saw the movie. Loved it. Went to buy the book the next day. (Personal) Challenge Accepted! Will begin reading as part of my October/Autumn reads!! 📖 🎃 🤡 🎈😬 If it gets too scary, into the freezer it will go! 🙈😂
Up next on my TBR: I love road trip books. Looking forward to reading this one. Was supposed to read on flight but ended up sleeping instead 😅🙈
"B/c this was Norfolk after all &it was only a couple of weeks since I‘d lost him& I half-closed my eyes &imagined this was the spot where everything I'd ever lost since my childhood had washed up& I was now standing here in front of it &if I waited long enough a tiny figure would appear on the horizon across the field &gradually get larger until I'd see it was Tommy &he'd wave, maybe even call. The fantasy never got beyond that, I didn't let it."
"I sift through my dead mother's things. It's been years since I've bothered and I feel empty as I explore the full boxes, mostly brimming with battered, dog-eared, highlighted books [...]The pages are worn, well-read, and I skim through them. I wonder if it's possible to know someone through the words they loved. There are photographs stuck in some of the books. Mostly people I don't recognize, but there are a few of her. She looks fierce." Pg325
"You‘re never alone with a book, are you? It‘s a dialogue." Bit of reading while I wait for my friend. | Update: Finished it. Cried so much.
This novella had me laughing out loud. It was fun to read more of Warren and see a different side of Bridget. 4.5/5 stars.
Some of my many favorite quotes from this wonderful, magical book:
"I gave up practically the whole world for you. The sun, stars, ocean, trees, everything, I gave it all up for you."
"He throws his head back and laughs. It warms up the entire world."
"I love you," I say to him, only it comes out, "Hey." "So damn much," he says back, only it comes out, "Dude."
"His soul might be a sun. I've never met anyone who had the sun for a soul."
One of my favorite books read this year! Nicola Yoon is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. 5/5 stars.
Entertaining summer read full of movie quotes and references. Enjoyed it a lot! 4/5 stars.
First Litsy post! Still trying to figure this app out...
