This book touches on SUCH important topics, such as disability & queerness, which are two issues very near and dear to me. This is not your average retelling. This takes a timeless classic and makes you fall in love all over again, and honestly with how much I love both Beauty and the Beast & ACOTAR, I didn‘t think it was possible. From the plot, to the characters, to the thematic flair, @brigidkemmerer blew me away from page one to page 477.

⭐️⭐️⭐️. Okay, so, let‘s talk some Shatter Me real quick. So, I loved the writing style but I just feel like NOTHING happened in this book. I loved all the metaphors, but I just felt that they got in the way of the plot. The romance was overbearing and unfounded. Plus, I know of a plot twist that made this book feel pointless. I‘m really excited to start Unravel Me to see what Mafi has lined up!
