I‘ve heard of Frankenstein as a dramatized version in movies and tv shows. In actuality, Frankenstein was the name of the human who created the nameless “creature”. Throughout the story, I kept hoping for a happy ending. Sadly, this novel is quite tragic. Like Frankenstein, I lost a family member today. The “creature” that took his life has a name...cancer.

I first watched this in middle school and thought it was one of the best love stories ever told. It took me 15 years to finally read the book because I knew I would be an emotional wreck. The pureness of Jamie's heart and the unconditional love of Landon made me want to cry every time I read a passage.
