Shirley Jackson is a Queen and her novels The Haunting of Hill House and We Have Always Lived in the Castle are perfect for the Halloween season.
A striking novel about right, wrong, and the areas in between. Ng takes a typical Ohio suburb and makes the inhabitants face their innate prejudices and privilege.
