I didn't enjoy this book as much as The Expats but still raced through the fast-paced, action-packed CIA/spy story involving quite a hapless main character. Kept me guessing right until the end, which read like a script for a blockbuster movie.

One of my favourite reads this year - so well-written with interesting, flawed characters. A story of a dysfunctional family and the group of siblings struggling to deal with the past and future. The sweet, lovely ending was unexpected and the cherry on top.
This jumped straight to the top of my reading list when I bought it last week. The latest murder mystery from Tana French - as intriguing and gripping as the others and I really liked the tough main character, a woman finding her place in a man's world.
The first line grabbed my attention - "I am finishing up dinner with my family and my fiancé when my husband. A light read despite the heavy premise of a lost, presumed dead husband returning as his wife has found true love, again. Enjoyable, quick read that made me wonder what I'd do in her shoes. @Tjenkinsreid
This was on my TBR list for ages and it took my breath away. My favourite read of the year and the one I'll be pressing into everyone's hands and wanting to discuss. I do not cry in books or movies yet I wept at moments throughout this brilliant, heartbreaking story that somehow made me laugh too. P.S. The most incredible twist awaits.
Such a compelling thriller written outstandingly by Tana French, blown away by her books every time. Also made me terrified of teenage girls 😮 #2016reading #book #books #readitnow
