pickI still can‘t explain how so many “everyday” things could make me love this book so much. Each character has a story and each story is, in some way, related to this Olive lady who is so anti heroine and lovable at the same time. As I read it, I could see real people, imperfect, with frustrations and issues who make it more relatable and intimate. The writing is wonderful. 📔💜

Writers tend to awaken feelings that you may not know exist. He describes a sense of being one with the city that never occurred to me, but as I think of the city of my childhood, I believe I know exactly what he's talking about.
