I'm almost glad I've never read Dana Spiotta before because apparently she is the best and now I have more good books to read. This was GREAT.
On the surface, this is the story of a couple, but it's also about mental illness, love, family, the military-industrial complex, and, yes, talking squirrels. Don't let the squirrels throw you.
Finished over the weekend. The kind of book you read too fast and never want to end.
