This was a beautiful fairy tale. It has magic and witches and a bog monster that loves poetry and a "simply enormous" dragon. Yes, it is a children's book but meant for all to enjoy. And if you like audio books, this narrator did a wonderful job! Sounds like grandma telling me a bedtime story with voices and all ?????

Bette The (little) dragon 🐉 charmed me, I liked it all. 👍😊❤️ 8y

I know most of the world laughs at LA when we get rain and complain, but our infrastructure is not built for any weather conditions. Well, after a LONG 25 mile, 90 minute drive home, I still wanted to stop for my library holds to hunker down with... now I hide until tomorrow and hope the hubby-to-be makes it home soon.

WTF doesn't begin to describe this. Honestly, I was getting annoyed at how "Gone Girl"-ish it was getting. Crazy woman being crazy. My initial thought is I disliked it with that ending, but thought differently as I realized that for something to illicit that shock and make my face do this has to make it a pick. I just wish I had friends that read this so I can discuss!!

I haven't picked up a book of poetry since The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy almost 10 years ago (closest thing to poetry at least)... but I was at the store and picked this up to see what the fuss was about. This was the first page I turned to and I was sold.

Got this in the mail... not sure how, but was super excited! Probably a @bookriot giveaway since I sign up for all of them. But with comparisons to Hitchcock and so much talk of an insane ending, I had to make this my next read (sorry TBR pile!) Thanks @flatironbooks - super excited to dive in!!

I loved this so much! A sci-fi thriller with a very strong (and sappy) heart at the center. Damn. If it weren't for these reading challenges I would start rereading it immediately!

People don't generally gift me books because I just buy them all the time... but my sister rocked this one! (With a little Nightmare Before Christmas love mixed in!)
And Unicorgi will often make an appearance with my posts... at least until I have my genuine #petsoflitsy, he will have to suffice.

JoRead Same here. My family probably thinks I already own too many books and I don't need any more 🤔😊 8y

Fellow Litsians! Can you help me find all of the popular reading challenges for 2017 please! I have the PDF for the Book Riot Read Harder list (and working on my list from my huge TBR pile)... But want to try to get in on others everyone is doing. Thanks for your help! 📖🍺🎭😍

Faibka I haven't organized mine yet 😖 8y
Merethebookgal My podcast created a Mad Lib Reading Challenge! (And it's only 12 books, so that makes it a little easier) check out our hashtag #ERMadlibs for more info! 8y
Lizpixie @BookishMarginalia is organising the Litsy AtoZ challenge, the Litsy book bingo challenge has a group on goodreads and just google search for popsugar reading challenges.👍 8y

I am one of the guilty ones that thought the word "feminist" as an ugly word. And this beautiful piece made me realize how incredibly jaded my sensibility was. I am so grateful I made this my first read after a very long semester... so damn powerful.

2 of my favorite signatures I have for #signedSundays! I have a few Christopher Moore signatures, but Lamb is the first of his I ever read and fell in love with. Then getting to meet Sydney Padua at San Diego Comic Con this year was an absolute highlight (and she drew me a kitten so I had to share with my fellow Littens!!)

I am back in school (doing this in your 30s is hard!) and while I do all my learning for the next 15 weeks my funsie reading has to go to the side while I learn about business stuff and tax avoidance. My hope at the end of all this learning? Opening a bookstore... Going to be awhile, but damn it is nice to have a goal. I will continue to chime in on your posts, but I don't think I will post much. See you after finals!!

So, I took a picture of my mini vacation drink choice in my very fancy glasses for facebook and realized the glasses went so well with my latest library selection. Now I am wondering if @MrBook approves of this drink selection with this book.

Not sure how many comic book fans are out there - but this is my all time favorite series so throwing it out there for #recommendsday! I dare you to NOT have a literary crush on Bigby Wolf or Snow White or the badass that is Cinderella! I wasn't huge into comic books until I started this series so I highly recommend if you are looking to try comics out (and the original series is complete!)

BookishFeminist Yes! I have a few of these sitting on my shelves I need to get to already. 8y

Oh man - I don't often listen or read much in the way of Science Fiction and I LOVED this story & audiobook. The main character is an absolute ass who thinks he knows better than everyone else (and usually does) - and of course I absolutely loved him. This had me laughing and worrying and saddened and then laughing again! Highly recommend this!!!

This was SO good! Great summer read - just don't read before you get on a plane... Or during your plane ride. Really, this shouldn't be sold at airports. If you have plans to go on one of those luxury small aircrafts sometime soon, with say, a media mogul and his family, just wait until after the trip to read this book.

Interesting and some hateful characters. Great writing. Insight into almost all the players in the story. 👍🏻🌟🛩🌊🏊

Faibka Glad to know it's good, need to read it for a book club! I hope it is a fast read, I've only a couple of weeks 😥 8y
Thessalia @Faibka I am NOT a fast reader and easily distracted, and this was a pretty quick read once I focused. Hope you enjoy it! Good suspense and character buildup which was more interesting to me than the mystery at the center. 8y
Faibka @Thessalia Sounds great! I'm also not a fast reader so your words are encouraging :) Hope to get to it soon! 8y

Finally had time to go through my San Diego Comic Con goodies from last weekend. Too bad the 24 hour reading challenge wasn't this weekend! Lots of generous publishers handed out free books and even more generous authors stuck around to sign if they were there. Super excited to dive into all of these! This is reminding me of my book selling days (oh how I miss those!!) #SDCC

A tragedy turned comedy in this latest Ryan North choose-your-own-path Shakespeare adaptation. My first read through led to becoming a pirate, so I was sold instantly. Really fun quick reads (unless you choose to go the traditional path). The Nurse doesn't get all the funny bits this time! ❤️👍🏻
