I love a good multi-generational story. This was wonderful. The characters are so dear and relatable. I was swept away by this story. The ending was perfect. Loved, loved, loved it.

I listened to the audiobook read by the author. It‘s not a spectacularly well written book but it was completely fascinating, kind of a modern day Boys on the Bus. I learned a lot about what it‘s like to be a reporter on the trail. But mostly I appreciated the authors frankness about sacrifices for her career and fighting for credibility and recognition from her superiors and colleagues. Great audiobook!
When at the hospital caring for a loved one, it‘s good to have a funny, touching book from one of my favorite authors along for the ride. Arthur Less is great company.
Loved the snarky voice. I think what I really liked most was the way our heroine dealt with no one taking her job seriously. Her family couldn't get their brains wrapped around that she made a living (a good living!) and had a huge following as a comic book artist and writer. As an author, I could relate:-) And it's always a pleasure listening to Joshilyn read her work. Loved this audiobook. Got me home on a long road trip with lots of laughs.
The audio version of this book was so good. The readers characterized the three narrators masterfully. The story clips along and pulls you in. I was looking for housework to do so I could listen to more. Near the end, I was concerned it would nosedive into cliche but the author really knew what she was doing. I suspected an ending twist but not this one!
I didn't think I was going to like this but really enjoyed the audiobook. Reader is great. The accent makes me miss my friends in Australia. Characters you can care about. Suburban mayhem. Lively dialog. There's lots to like here.
This audiobook is so good! Looking for housework so I can get to the end.
"It is remarkable, when you consider it, all the complicated works we construct to avoid anything that might disturb us or cause us pain. The bulwarks and baffles we build up, the moats and the mazes."
I love a novel that has me rooting for someone I find rather despicable. Stayed up way past my bedtime finishing it. Is there any better compliment for a book?
Loved this! It was like a long, cocktail-enhanced brunch with my wittiest friend. Characters were oh so flawed and lovable. And the Epilogue was so satisfying.
